Entrepreneurship and Flourishing Workshop (April 2023)

   

The Human Flourishing Program at Harvard will host an Entrepreneurship and Flourishing Workshop at Harvard University on April 3, 2023

The Human Flourishing Program at Harvard defines flourishing as holistic well-being, characterized by: happiness and life satisfaction, mental and physical health, meaning and purpose, character and virtue, and close social relationships. 

This event will support entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs to promote flourishing in themselves, their teams, and the wider world. The event will open with a panel on Entrepreneurship, Good Work, and Flourishing with world-renowned academics Dr. Howard GardnerDr. Tyler VanderWeele, and Dr. Eileen McNeely, moderated by Dr. Christina HintonDr. Ayse Yemiscigil will then lead an interactive session that shares research-based strategies for entrepreneurs to support their own flourishing. After this, Dr. Ashley Whillans will lead a session that shares proven ways for entrepreneurs to encourage flourishing in their teams. A panel of inspiring entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs will then discuss: How can we use entrepreneurship to promote flourishing in the wider world?

We will then connect with investors who are passionate about promoting flourishing. A panel of investors will consider: How do we invest in entrepreneurship that advances the flourishing of entrepreneurs, their teams, and the wider world? 

Finally, we will have a closing keynote from Bob Chapman, Chairman and CEO of $3.3B Barry-Wehmiller, on Truly Human Leadership: The Skills and Courage to Care

We hope this event will spark collaborations among participants that build on our momentum to promote entrepreneurship and flourishing.
