Event Description: The Human Flourishing Program, in partnership with the Abigail Adams Institute and the Harvard Catholic Forum, is pleased to host a public colloquium on Common Good Constitutionalism by Adrian Vermeule, the Ralph S. Tyler, Jr. Professor of Constitutional Law at Harvard Law School.

The aim of this panel is to reflect, in conversation with Prof. Vermeule’s recent book, on the proper role of natural law reasoning within American constitutional law, and more broadly on the role of the law in promoting the common good and human flourishing.

In addition to remarks by Prof. Vermeule, the colloquium will feature responses to Common Good Constitutionalism by Darel Paul, Professor of Political Science at Williams College; Mary Hirschfeld, Associate Professor of Moral Theology at the University of Notre Dame; and Fr. Jeffrey Langan, Senior Fellow of the Principium Institute and priest of the prelature of Opus Dei.
