Dr Piotr Białowolski
Piotr Białowolski, Ph.D., is a Research Associate at the Sustainability and Health Initiative for NetPositive Enterprise (SHINE) at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. He specializes in applied economics and quantitative methods for applied research in the areas of household financial behaviors and well-being. He has a PhD in Economics (2009) and habilitation (2016; higher post-doctoral degree). Between June 2015 and May 2017, he was Marie Curie Research Fellow at the University of Turin in Italy, focusing on household economic and financial behaviors and their association with well-being. Dr. Białowolski continued this line of research at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University between June 2017 and May 2018, and then joined SHINE in April 2018. His research interests and publications focus on the following research topics: (1) application of micro-level data for the impact evaluation of financial and social behaviors on well-being and health, (2) financial well-being with application of composite scales, (3) market and consumer segmentations, (4) survey design, biases and forecasting with survey data.
