The Global Flourishing Study

Mapping what it means to flourish

Our study follows more than 200,000 participants across 22 countries for five years, collecting data on well-being alongside social, economic, health, character, and life-course factors, to advance the world's understanding of human flourishing.

What We Measure

Flourishing is assessed across multiple domains: happiness and life satisfaction, physical and mental health, meaning and purpose, character and virtue, close social relationships, and financial stability. By measuring these dimensions together, we move beyond single indicators of well-being and capture a fuller picture of how lives are going.

Map of the worlds with the global flourishing nations identified. This includes United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Nigeria, Egypt, Poland, Turkey, Israel, India, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, China, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Philippines.
