Eileen McNeely

Eileen McNeely, Ph.D., is the Founder and Executive Director of SHINE (Sustainability and Health Initiative for Netpositive Enterprise) within the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard. At SHINE, Eileen leads research that aims to shine a light on the dynamic connections that exist between individuals, organizations, workplaces and communities and their impact on our well-being because well-being in one setting influences well-being in all settings. Since work is foundational to human flourishing and sustainability, her research centers around the meaning and impact of work in our lives. Eileen has extensive experience in the areas of environmental epidemiology, occupational and community health, health promotion and wellness programs, health care policy and management. Her experience includes working in healthcare, academia, industry, and government. She has authored numerous publications and public reports.
