The Flourishing x Work Project brings together researchers, business leaders, and entrepreneurs to build better organizations and promote the common good.
Through empirical research, we examine the relationship between employee well-being and organizational success, generating evidence to inform leadership decisions, workplace practices, and business strategies.
We also collaborate with entrepreneurship labs to equip founders with the knowledge and tools to pursue principled innovation, build responsible businesses, and make a positive contribution to society.
What we do
Research: We conduct research with organizations and teams to test established ideas, generate new evidence, and deepen our understanding of human flourishing at work.
Empower: We translate research into practical insights that help leaders make informed decisions and drive meaningful change.
Apply: We connect executives, founders, and change-makers through conferences, working groups, incubators, and workshops, to put the research into practice.

Research That Helps Organizations Flourish
The Flourishing Data Collaborative is a member-based research consortium made up of organizations that support ongoing research on human flourishing. When organizations activate a research project with the Human Flourishing Program they become members of the Flourishing Data Collaborative. We collaborate with SHAPE Global to bring measurement, secure data collection and digital reporting to our research collaborations, helping turn important questions into evidence leaders can use.
Our confidential survey and personal report help individuals understand their own flourishing, reflect on their experiences, and identify opportunities for growth. Organizations receive aggregated, anonymized insights informed by research and analysis from our interdisciplinary team of Harvard researchers and delivered through SHAPE Global.
