Wojciech T. Kaftanski
Wojciech T. Kaftanski, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral fellow and Communications Associate at the Human Flourishing Program. He was previously a Visiting Faculty Fellow at the Program and a Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy at KU Leuven, Belgium. He is the author of “Kierkegaard, Mimesis, and Modernity: A Study of Imitation, Existence, and Affect" (Routledge Studies in Nineteenth-Century Philosophy, 2021). He is the guest editor of "Imagination in Kierkegaard and Beyond" (History of European Ideas, 2021). His research puts modern and contemporary thinkers in dialogue to advance the contemporary conversation on the role of imitation, imagination, and ethics for moral formation and character development in the context of exemplarity and role modelling. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the School of Philosophy at the Australian Catholic University in Melbourne, Australia where he taught courses in philosophy and theology. Dr. Kaftanski has previously been a Visiting Scholar in the Søren Kierkegaard Research Centre at University of Copenhagen (2015) and a House Foundation Fellow at Hong Kierkegaard Library at St. Olaf, MN, USA (2011).
